Eyelash Enhancements

The Eye is the Jewel of the body - Henry David Thoreau

Eyeliner, unlike many beauty fads, has sustained the passage of time. As long ago as 10,000 years bc, people were lining their eyes. Who uses it, how it’s used, use of colours may change and vary, but the act of lining the eyes is likely to stay forever.

Let’s face it, most find eyeliner challenging and time consuming to apply. It’s daily application and removal pulls at the delicate tissue surrounding the eyes, and it often smudges or wears off during the course of the day. Permanent Eye line techniques offer a safe and effective method to attain beautiful definition with a convenience that no over the counter eyeliner could ever match. Not only that, it really is the answer to your prayers if you’re looking for the ultimate in long lasting water proof and smudge-free makeup. Expertly applied with precision that could never be achieved with conventional eyeliner, the benefits of this treatment are truly amazing.

Permanent Eye makeup is ideal choice for those with allergies to conventional cosmetics, or for people who suffer from hay fever or watery eyes. People with vision problems or who wear contact lenses, and of course those who have unfortunately suffered hair loss due to medical reasons. Sometimes this treatment’s benefits can carry considerably more weight than just purely for convenience or vanity.

Any style of eye enhancement can be achieved and tailored to suit each individuals needs. Whether it’s subtle definition, making the eyelashes appear denser and thicker, right through to dramatic Latino style, or somewhere in-between. Soft colour, stronger colours, smokey effects, graduated effects, Wendy believes the eyes should be designed – not lined, and uses her expertise to advise what suits each individual best.

General questions and fears regarding Eye Line Tattoo

Does it hurt?
This is always the most commonly asked question, and most people assume it is the most painful procedure...it’s not. With the proper use of topical anaesthetics, the procedure it not painful at all. Some clients say it feels tickly, most find it irritating, but it’s certainly not painful.

Will my eyes be swollen afterwards?
The day following the procedure it is quite normal for the top eyelid to be slightly rotund, and a little bit pink. This is normally only noticeable to you and will return to normal on the second day. As the eye area is so delicate Wendy will always do an eye enhancement over two treatments. With the first treatment the enhancement will be quite subtle, further definition will be achieved with the second treatment if required. This ensures the eye tissue suffers very little in the way of swelling.

Will I have to keep my eyes open during the procedure?
The eyes can be kept closed throughout the treatment and the eye area is held taught, so the client does not need to worry about blinking or eye movement.

I’m getting on in years and I’m worried it will look too much...
Ageing eyes become dull. The colour in the iris starts to diminish; eyelashes become less dense and loose the strength of colour in the pigment of the hair. A subtle eye enhancement will make the eyes appear younger and brighter. Eyes are given back their definition by the clever placement of colour pigments right up into the roots of the upper lashes, and gently along the lower. It can be an almost invisible definition that no one will even notice.

Will my eyelashes fall out?
Sometimes one or two eyelashes may be lost during treatment. However this is usually eyelashes that were ready to fall out in any event. Any eyelashes that are lost will grow back as normal.
